Accessibility: Building a Platform for Theological Education

Winebrenner Theological Seminary is continually experimenting with creative ways to fulfill our mission of equipping leaders for service in God’s kingdom. Rooted in a deep commitment to fulfilling Jesus’ command to “go and make disciples” (Matthew 28:19), we are eager to work with others to accomplish this kingdom mission! In that spirit, I am excited to announce that we are launching a new experiment for the summer 2024 trimester only:

Any new or returning student enrolled in a Winebrenner graduate course and in good academic and financial standing can take courses at no additional cost from any ATS-accredited school during the summer term (courses must be completed by end of August 2024. Students should verify the eligibility of the course for transfer to their program before enrollment. Program specific limitations may apply).  All for only $300/month tuition.

[For the summer experiment, this is only available for graduate students enrolling in graduate courses.]

For those who were directed to this page from another source, yes, there is some “fine print” including:

  1. Students enrolled in Winebrenner’s Master of Arts in Clinical Counseling program may not transfer clinical courses. In our program these include: CC 6150 Personality Assessment; CC 6050 Psychopathology; CC 5450 Diagnosis; CC 6100 Treatment; CC 7000 Practicum; CC 7050 Internship I; CC 7100 Internship II
  2. Students enrolled in Winebrenner’s Doctor of Ministry program may not transfer Project Research and Writing or Final Presentation credits.
  3. Students in all programs are limited to transfer and advanced standing credits which may not exceed a total of 2/3 of their program.
  4. Students in all programs must complete the equivalent of one year at Winebrenner in order to graduate from Winebrenner Theological Seminary.

There is an expectation that students will complete the course at the partner school with a passing grade of C+ or better. Poor academic performance for those who participate may jeopardize future participation, if a similar option is available in the future.

How does this work?

First:

  • For New Students: contact Adam Willford, Coordinator of New Student Engagement, and begin the application process; you can click here to learn more.
  • For Returning Students and General Questions: your main point of contact is Dr. Andrew Draper, Executive Director, at drapera@winebrenner.edu, who is assisting in answering questions and providing additional information.

Next:

Finally:

  • Begin exploring what courses are available at a partner school! You can inquire with us for assistance, if helpful.

The summer term begins April 29! Let’s work together as you move forward in your spiritual journey.

If you represent a school or would like us to connect with a possible partner please let us know!
