As Winebrenner works to make theological education accessible and affordable for students, we are experimenting with an innovative opportunity. We are allowing students to take a graduate course at any ATS-accredited seminary for no additional cost beyond their monthly Winebrenner tuition subscription. This allows students to take a course that we may not currently offer and that may meet their particular needs or interests. We launched this program in the summer of 2024 and had three students participate in it. See this blog post for their testimonials: https://winebrenner.edu/2024/04/01/accessibility-student-voices/
We are offering this opportunity again for the fall 2024 trimester. If you would like to take part in it,
- Enroll in Winebrenner and be in good academic and financial standing.
- Locate the course you are interested in. You can search ATS-accredited schools here: https://www.ats.edu/Find-a-School. Find the school’s website and peruse their course catalog.
- Check with your Winebrenner advisor about the appropriateness and comparability of this course for your path.
- If approved by your advisor, enroll in the course at the partner institution.
- Have the partner institution submit the bill to our financial office. It will be paid out of designated funds that are available for student tuition support.
This initiative is subject to the availability of funds and Winebrenner reserves the right to approve the course. While we cannot search for courses for you, we can support your educational journey with this innovative approach. We have already received positive feedback from several partner schools about this collaboration. Theological education should not be about competition but about working together for the Kingdom!
