Beginning a New Term at Winebrenner: Embracing the Journey

As we begin another term here at Winebrenner, I am reminded of one of the best parts of my job. Each term, I have the privilege of interacting with potential and current students. I enjoy hearing their stories of how God is working in their lives. Recently, I had the pleasure of hearing from one such student about her experience at Winebrenner. Here’s what she had to say:

“From my first email and phone call with (admissions), to now two master’s degrees and, Lord willing, a D.Min, every step and experience has been a blessing. The faculty and staff lead with a servant’s heart and, although they are there to guide you educationally, they have also been there through the toughest times in my personal life. Winebrenner is a small school that rivals the educational experience of any large institution. What makes it unique is the heart to walk alongside us as students in our journey of becoming the pastors and servant leaders we are called to be. For some of us, like me, they see in us a deeper calling that we have not yet accepted and are willing to serve as mentors in our process of deeper discovery.”

It’s stories like these that reaffirm the impact Winebrenner has on our students. As we navigate through the new term, the faculty and staff have been praying for our students. We are committed to seeing each student succeed, both academically and personally.

Winebrenner is a place where students feel seen, heard, and supported—not just as learners, but as individuals with unique journeys and callings. As the new term unfolds, we are excited to witness the growth, challenges, and triumphs our students will experience.

The snow is falling here in Northwest Ohio, and the temperatures remain cold. However, as we begin this new trimester, I find myself looking towards our summer and fall terms. If you feel called to pursue a graduate degree, you can inquire here. I would be honored to hear about how God is calling you to grow.
