2015-2025: A Decade in Review

King Solomon is credited with writing Psalm 127, which begins with the words, “Unless the LORD builds the house, the builders labor in vain.” Over the past decade, Winebrenner Seminary has experienced the faithfulness of God, as expressed by the Apostle Paul who writes to the church in Thessaloniki, “The Lord is faithful. He will establish you and guard you against the evil one” (2 Thessalonians 3:3).

The following are a few of the things that have happened because of the faithfulness of God and your fervent prayers:

–        Winebrenner has a solid and engaged Board of Trustees who have received professional development through the In Trust Center for Theological School‘s Wise Stewards initiative.

–        The staff and faculty are engaged and “right sized”

–        Annual budgeted and actual expenses were cut by almost $1 million (since 2015)

–        Reduction of brick and mortar costs to better serve a geographically dispersed student body

–        Financial debt was eliminated, in part, through the sale of the building and transfer of ownership of the Scotland Campus property

–        Tuition has been significantly lowered for all students

–        Enrollment has nearly doubled (since 2015)

–        MACC program received CACREP accreditation

–        Winebrenner stepped out of Title IV federal loan process

–        Probation from HLC accreditation was removed, a direct response to the circumstances in 2015

–        ATS extended Winebrenner’s Accreditation through 2035.

Most importantly, hundreds of students have been able to access theological education and intentional discipleship opportunities due to the removal of barriers and the lowering of financial costs.
