
Professor Lauren White is the newest faculty member at Winebrenner Theological Seminary, serving as Instructor of Clinical Counseling. Lauren has a BA degree in Political Science and a MA in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. He is currently finishing his Ph. D. in Counseling Education and Supervision at the University of Cincinnati. In addition to now serving as a full time faculty member at Winebrenner Theological Seminary in the Masters of Arts in Clinical Counseling (MACC) program, he is the Founder/CEO of Profound Masterminds Institute, which is a think tank/nonprofit that provides consultation to nonprofits, churches, businesses, governmental organizations and otherwise. He is also the owner of White Comprehensive Services which provides counseling, supervision, consultation, and other services.
Additionally, he has been preaching since 2007 and is an Ordained Elder in the Apostolic Assemblies of Christ. He attends Christ Temple Apostolic Faith Church in Lockland, OH under Pastor Dr. Thelma Sorrells. He is also an Instructor at the Christ Temple Bible College and teaches an “Intersection of Theology and Psychology” workshop at the Masters level. He is a sought after speaker in terms of mental health particularly as it relates to Black Mental Health, Male Mental Health, and Youth Mental Health. His passion is to advocate for greater representation of Black male counselors in the counseling field in order to encourage more Black male clients to enter treatment.
