Friends of Winebrenner Scholarship

For the 19-20 academic year (beginning fall 2019), there are four $1000 scholarships available. Winebrenner will award two $1000 scholarships to incoming students and two $1000 scholarships to current students who are/will be enrolled in the Master of Arts in Practical Theology program. The scholarship monies are intended for the 19-20 academic year only and will be divided evenly amongst the three trimesters for each recipient.

Paul and Daisy Soros Fellowships for New Americans
Deadline: November 1
Amount: Half tuition plus $2,000
Description: Fellowship program designed to provide opportunities for new Americans to achieve leadership positions in their chosen fields. For the purposes of this program, a “new American” is an individual who (1) is a resident alien, i.e., holds a Green Card; or (2) has been naturalized as a U.S. citizen; or (3) is the child of two parents who are both naturalized citizens. The fellowships provide grants for up to two years of graduate study in the United States. Thirty fellowships will be awarded each year.

Our foundation, CM CARES, is pleased to support the future of religious communities like yours through a scholarship program. 

For the second year in a row, CM CARES will award up to $250,000 in scholarships to deserving graduate-level religious scholars. Each scholarship winner will receive a $5,000 award that may be used to pay for tuition, fees, books or other costs of attending school full-time during the 2018-19 academic year. We encourage students of all faiths to apply. 

To be eligible for this scholarship, a student must: 

  • Be enrolled full-time in a graduate or doctorate degree program in theology, ministry, or other religious field of study at an accredited theological seminary, college, or university for the 2018-19 academic year.
  • Maintain a GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale (or its equivalent).
  • Be committed to entering the practice of full-time ministry in the United States.
  • Demonstrate personal impact through education, work experience, and volunteerism.
