Featured Projects: Beyond the Prison Walls

Behind the walls of Ohio’s correctional institutions are men and women eager to grow in faith, deepen their understanding of Scripture, and serve those around them. Winebrenner Theological Seminary brings theological education into this unique context through our Institute for Christian Studies. Today, students in five Ohio prisons participate together in a four-year, 12-course program designed not simply around what they know, but who they are becoming and how they will serve. In partnership with prison chaplains and correctional institutions, Winebrenner is equipping incarcerated students to become Christ-focused servants capable of meaningful ministry wherever God has placed them. Earlier this fall we featured our work within various prisons on InDepth. You can read more by clicking below:

The Invitation

The tuition for each student enrolled in a course in the Institute for Christian Studies is $200. Currently, there are 65 students enrolled across five prisons in Ohio. Our goal is to offer a course each trimester during the academic year.

65 students x $200 x 3 = $39,000 for a single academic year for this program

Will you join us in the work God is doing through these students?
