Forming a partnership with Winebrenner

Partnership Order of Operations

Winebrenner Seminary’s approach to collaboration builds upon a common foundation, with various partners seeking unique expressions, or individual initiatives, of this shared mission. Much like the operating systems of Apple’s IOS or Google’s Android, Winebrenner provides a common platform that partners can build upon with individual initiatives, or “apps.”  Our approach seeks to develop both frameworks and offers flexibility for consistency and scaling. The following document highlights the core aspects of our approach.

While students can enter directly through one of our academic programs, many prospective students may seek theological education through a trusted partner, in community with fellow students in their context. Specific initiatives (apps) are developed either in response to a request from a collaborating partner or in an exploratory / experimental manner to work toward the fullest expression of Winebrenner’s mission.

If your organization or church desires to partner with Winebrenner Theological Seminary, please work through this form and then contact us with further questions.

Grace and peace, Dr. Andrew T. Draper (drapera@winebrenner.edu)

  • Designate a point person from your network to serve as the liaison with Winebrenner.
  • Work with Winebrenner’s CAO, Dr. Martin Johnson (mjohnson@winebrenner.edu), to pick a class from the ICS list or to create a new one.
  • Agree upon an adjunct instructor in conversation with CAO.
  • Advertise the class in your network (Winebrenner’s Director of New Student Engagement can help create a flier. Contact Adam Willford: adam.willford@winebrenner.edu).
  • Recruit and enroll a minimum of 12 students per class.
  • Work with Executive Director, Dr. Andrew T. Draper (drapera@winebrenner.edu), to agree upon a fee schedule. Several options include:
    • $200 per person, per class for ICS tuition
    • $300 / month for individual graduate tuition
    • Set fee for group ICS class to be paid by partner
    • Another fee schedule as agreed upon
  • Winebrenner’s CFO, Tom Weaver (tweaver@winebrenner.edu), will set up payment plans.
  1. Evaluation of the effectiveness of a partnership will grow out of these shared understandings. We want to both remove barriers to forming new partnerships and present guidelines by which current partnerships can be evaluated.

If you have any questions about this order of operations or would like to propose a new or different idea, please contact Winebrenner’s president, Dr. Brent C. Sleasman (brent.sleasman@winebrenner.edu).
