Updated Announcement: Winebrenner will be hiring Chief Academic Officer

Last fall Winebrenner Seminary launched a search for a new Chief Academic Officer (CAO). You can read that post by clicking here. As an update to that announcement, I am sharing today that we remain committed to hiring a new CAO but are pausing the search until Dr. Andrew Draper begins his term as Executive Director on March 1, 2024 (you can read the announcement of Dr. Draper’s hiring by clicking here). This decision is by no means a reflection of the quality of the candidates who have already applied but simply an update on our organizational timeline.

Dr. Mary Iiames will continue to serve as our Interim CAO as we continue to move forward to the re-launched search.

As I shared previously, the Chief Academic Officer position will be an administrative position that assists Winebrenner in fulfilling our mission of equipping leaders for service in God’s kingdom. There will be both student-facing and faculty-facing aspects to this newly constructed position. Winebrenner is continuing on the path toward greater levels of integration and collaboration among colleagues and external partners.

Let me know if you would like to talk more about this position or how it will allow us to better carry out God’s mission for Winebrenner! We are moving forward in an intentional and deliberate manner – if you, or someone you know, may be interested I welcome conversation about Winebrenner’s future.

Information about the re-launched search will be available early in March 2024.
