2023-2028 Strategic Priority: Collaboration

Along with Stewardship and Discipleship, Collaboration is one of three strategic priorities for the coming years at Winebrenner Theological Seminary. Working with other kingdom-oriented schools, churches, and organizations both demonstrates the values of the kingdom as well as helps fulfill the mission to equip leaders for service in God’s kingdom.

One of the best way to describe how we approach collaboration is to provide evidence of our ongoing efforts. In that spirit, we are excited to be partnering with Movement Church in Findlay, OH, on a course exploring the Synoptic Gospels (Matthew, Mark, Luke), with a primary focus on the sayings and actions of Jesus, beginning in January 2025. The meetings will be live, at Movement Church, beginning on Tuesday, January 7, 2025. You can register by clicking here. We will be sharing more information soon, in the meantime you can click here to learn more. [This course will be taught at the Institute-level.]

Winebrenner is committed to partnering with local churches for the purpose of transformation, not just information, as we follow Jesus together. In addition to this opportunity, the following links will take you to stories about collaborative efforts within the United States and abroad, in partnership with a denominational region and a church camp, and within the walls of a church and a prison. Each of these uniquely express our collective commitment to equipping leaders for service in God’s kingdom:

Highlighting Collaboration: Camp Sonrise Mountain

Highlighting Collaboration: Cuba, House Churches, & Winebrenner Seminary

Highlighting Collaboration: Voice of the Gospel Ministry, Kenya (2022)

Highlighting Collaboration: Great Lakes CGGC & Marion Correctional Institution

Highlighting Collaboration: Kingwood Church of God & the Allegheny Region Foundation

Highlighting Collaboration: Voice of the Gospel Ministry, Kenya (2020)

In addition to these examples, over the past few years we’ve shared some of the thinking that informs how we approach collaboration:

From Pipelines to Platforms: Key to Collaboration

Reimagining Theological Education: Collaboration

As you can see from the above, collaboration has been and will continue to be a key part of Winebrenner’s unique contribution to God’s kingdom work!
